Renowned Ghanaian musician Ohemaa Mercy has advised women who have separated from their husbands to see them as friends but not enemies.
She made this heart-lulled statement while addressing her aftermath divorce relationship with her husband in an interview.
According to her when couples divorce after having children, they should always know that there is a covenant between them and must make a commitment to ensure the children live peacefully.
“I want to advise everyone. If you’re a woman and you’re going through a divorce, your partner is not your enemy. Because of the kids you have a covenant. So I actually have to allow God to lead me through this so that it will be another phase for every woman to emulate.
If you are going through battles in your marriage and it comes to a point that you are going to divorce understand that you can never be enemies. You have to help each other because of the kids,” she said in an interview on TV3.
The chemical love between Ohemaa Mercy and her former husband has become more glued despite them being divorced.
Isaac Twum-Ampofo popularly known as Ike, the former husband of Ohemaa Mercy on September 7, 2023 took to his Facebook page to wish his beloved ex-wife a happy birthday.
His reaction was met with much excitement from netizens.
In his post, Mr Twum-Ampofo prayed the blessings and favour of God over the life of the mother of his children.He wrote: “Happy Birthday @ohemaamercyofficial . On Your Special Day I Ask For Blessings And Favour Of God Like Never Before On Your Life. Be Blessed 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾”.
