Ghana’s Young Innovators Shine on the Global Stage at Codeavour 6.0 in Qatar

Ghana marked another milestone on the global technology map as a team of bright young minds, trained by CKBS (The Robotics Masters), proudly represented the nation at the prestigious Codeavour 6.0 International AI & Robotics Championship held at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) in Doha from May 16 to 17, 2025.

The Codeavour competition, an international platform focused on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), drew participation from over 50 countries. It challenged young students to solve real-world problems using technology, creativity, and teamwork.

Groomed for Global Impact
CKBS, known for its strong commitment to practical STEM education in schools across Ghana, has spent years nurturing the next generation of innovators. Through its partnerships with private and public institutions, CKBS integrates coding and robotics into everyday learning, empowering learners as young as six years old to explore technology hands-on.

This year, a select team of students from CKBS’s partner schools was prepared, groomed, and mentored to compete in the international showdown. These students were chosen not only for their technical prowess but also for their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and passion for using technology for good.

Representing Ghana with Pride
At Codeavour 6.0, the Ghanaian team competed in several key challenges focused on climate action, health tech, and sustainable innovation. Their projects, which leveraged AI, robotics sensors, and environmental awareness, stood out for their practical application and originality.

The event provided these young talents the opportunity to meet, network, and compete with peers from around the world, building cultural bridges and promoting global citizenship through technology.

CKBS: A Catalyst for Change
Speaking after the event, representatives from CKBS expressed pride in the learners’ performance and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding coding and robotics education across Ghana.

“This is more than a competition,” said Mr Bright Odame (Coach), “It’s a movement to show the world that African youth, when given the right tools and mentorship, can innovate for the future. We’re extremely proud of our learners.”

Looking Ahead
As Ghana continues to invest in STEM and digital literacy, CKBS stands at the forefront of this transformation, creating a platform where young Ghanaians are not just users of technology but creators and global contributors.

Their success at Codeavour 6.0 serves as a beacon of what’s possible when education meets innovation. With continued support, the future of Ghanaian tech talent looks brighter than ever.
