TUC Gets New Leadership

In the latest development, Bernard Owusu has been elected as the new chairman of the Trades Union Congress(TUC), Ghana.

Before his current position, Mr. Owusu was the National Chairman of the General Transport Petroleum Chemical Workers Union (GTPCWU).

He takes over from Alex Opoku-Nyarko.

In an election for a new leadership for TUC, Bernard Owusu polled 347 votes to defeat Alex Opoku-Nyarko, who was seeking to extend his tenure.

Deputy Secretary General Joshua Ansah also replaces Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah as substantive Secretary General.
